A|bra|ham «AY bruh ham, -huhm», noun.
the first patriarch (his son Isaac and his grandson Jacob were the other two). By tradition he was the ancestor of the Jews, through Isaac, and also the ancestor of the Arabs, through his son Ishmael (in the Bible, Genesis 12-25).
